well time is flying by so fast that befor i know it i will be in bolivia.

it snowed last night and i am so thrilled but it dose not look like its going to stay that saddens me because i want to have a big snow ball fight befor i leave. if the snow dosent stay then that wont happen.

i have most of my stuff ready for bolivia, i'm still short a fair amount of money but i'm trusting in the Lord to provide finnanchialy for this trip.

i'm so excited to meet the kids and people that i will be working with in bolivia.

but at the same time i am sad to be leaving alberta. because my aunt Debbie is sick with cancer and i dont want to leave because the Dr's arnt sure if they can contiue treatment.

i'm still happily single for all you pesky people that want to know. and don't try and set me up with anyone, I'm not ready to have a man in my life. and i dont want to be distracted from focusing on God at this time in my life.

thank you all for your prayers. and your enotional support, you are all a blessing to me.

with love, For the Glory of God

Well it has been a while since I wrote you last so I thought I would update you on the things that are happening in my life.
I have been working for my parents for the last month and will continue to work for them until I leave in order to earn part of the money that it will take for me to go to Bolivia for the four months and work in the home for abandoned children.
My classes at the college are going good. I am learning lots in my ballet class. Spanish is a bit of a challenge some times but I am doing pretty well and I have started hanging out with some Latin girls to that I can improve my Spanish.
Some of you have asked if there are any material things that I will be in need of or that the kids at the home can use. There are a few things that they could use such as school supplies and hygiene stuff such as soap and shampoo. I would love to take them lots of this stuff but suitcase space is limited and these items are available in Bolivia but they just don’t have the money to spend on such things. But if more funds come in than what I need just to survive down there, the extra money will go to completing the projects that I have started. Or to an area that I feel needs the money to further bless the community.
I now have my prayer cards done if you would like one e-mail me your snail mail address and I will send you one as soon as I can.
I also have a journal that I am getting people to write notes of encouragement in that I can read when I am in Bolivia, if you would like to write in my book, let me know and I will catch up with you.
I have booked my flights to Bolivia: I leave Calgary on January 1st and get to Bolivia on January 2nd with a few connections in the middle. And I will be returning home on April 25th so leaving Bolivia on the 24th. Tickets ended up a little more expensive then first anticipated so it will raise the total cost of my trip by a few hundred dollars.
Thanks to all of you who have already contributed financially. Over 50% has been pledged or already come in, so we are off to a good start but still a ways to go to reach the goal.
I would also love to be a part of your life in a very real way so please e-mail me and let me know how I can pray for you and your family.
My home church Hearts and Hands are having a Christmas potluck and farewell supper on the 14th of December at 5pm, if you would like to come. We meet in the basement of the Nazarene church on 40th Ave in Red Deer.

If you have questions or bits of advice for me just e-mail them to me at suzanne.laura@gmail.com

this blog is so that i can update you all on the adventures in my life. and to share the cool things that are going on in my life with you.

This summer at Camp Silversides went really well with lots of ups and a few downs but overall it was spectacular because God did amazing things in my life and I got to hangout with some pretty awesome kids and share some sweet moments with them.
In June I took a leave of absence from my position as a porter at the Red Deer Regional Hospital to help out at Camp Silversides for the summer. Since then things have changed and I will not be going back portering. But will work for our family's building company to make money for my next adventure I feel God is leading me to.
I am also taking a couple of courses at the Red Deer College, adult ballet (because I have always wanted to learn ballet) and conversation Spanish 4. Let’s hope I did not pick too hard of a Spanish class.
Anyways, this is the real reason that I am writing this. Is that I am leaving to go to Bolivia in January for about 4 months to work in a home for abandoned children in Santa Cruz. What my ministry duties will look like I am not quite sure just yet, but they will be similar to that of a nanny for these abandoned children. I would love for you to be involved with this missions work through your support both spiritually, emotionally and financially.

The total cost is approximately $5,795.00 this breaks down to approximately $1,448.75 per month for room, board and expenses. If you would like to help me out financially you can do that by sending your support to…
